News Article November 15th 2011
From the beginning of navigation on the
Great Turtle Island we were free to travel
without hindrance, and according to the
supreme law of the Great Turtle Island the
Guswenta meaning "Two Row" was the guide
by which we could all live and navigate
side-by-side as friends-and-allies in peace with
one another. Our original Nations of peoples
here have endured throughout the centuries
through this sacred agreement, and have
struggled to help others who came to our
shores to understand this International Treaty
Agreement and now that we have survived
through the atrocities and unsurmountable
odds against us, and have now made our
impression through law, culture, theology,
Natural Law, and through our many stories of
creation and of the Creator Great Spirit
Mystery of life.
The affects of this Supreme Court Case
resolved in 1993 have not yet been seen in it's
entirety. Many Nations have not been aware
of it's existence or how it relates to them in so
many ways. Hopefully through this article our
many Nations of peoples will finally
understand how important it was for the Sac
and Fox Nation to pursue the debate through
to fruition. We must give credit to our
friends-and-allies being Sacs(Sauks) and Foxes
who were indelibly linked together as a matter
of survival, and now have contributed to our
freedom by their efforts in the Supreme Court
of the United States.
Many people may not be aware that through
this case we do not have to be party to their
Tracking systems, and that our sovereign
immunities are most relevant in "Indian
Country" due to this case, and involving
"Original Sovereignty", "Original
Jurisdiction", And by the "Supremacy
Clause", as well as through our many Treaty
Agreements which are evidence of our
sovereign powers of authority that our Treaty
signatory Nations possess by being in the
Lands and Countries of our ancestors.
This case not only resolved issues involving the
[STATES] not possessing the right to tax the
members of our Indian Nations in Indian
Country, it also acknowledged the fact that we
have the right to implement our own DMV -
Department of Motor Vehicles upon our own
authority alone without [STATE] interference.
